The 1830 version of Bellini's opera created for Teatro La Scala, featuring two female voices in the roles of Romeo and Juliet. This performance at the 2005 Martina Franca Festival featured singers Federico Sacchi, Patrizia Ciofi, Danilo Formaggi and Nicola Amodio. Denis Krief conducted the orchestra Internazionale d'Italia.
