In the not-too-distant future, the government has devised a new system of incarceration to combat escalating street violence: Vortex, a mysterious and completely isolated prison complex from which there is no escape. the latest inmate is Vincent, who, after shooting an attacker in self-defense, is convicted of murder and condemned to spend the rest of his life there in a never-ending cycle of fear, aggression, and violence - unless he can discover the secret of Vortex and somehow convince his jailers that he is innocent. This film is by Michael Pohl.
