20 young adults between the ages of 18-28 were selected to compete for a coveted recording contract with Univision Music Group. The participants were chosen from thousands who attended auditions in Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, Miami and Puerto Rico. For the duration of the competition, the contestants were sequestered from their family and friends with limited access to TV, phones, or newspapers. 14 ""Saturday Gala"" Presentations in one of Puerto Rico's historical theaters set the stage for these participants, whose vocal and performance abilities were tested in a variety of genres. In Spanish, no subtitles.
