Manicurist Maria is reunited with her twin sister Magdalena (Delores Del Rio) at the funeral of Magdalena's wealthy husband. The two sisters have been estranged since Magdalena stole Maria's sweetheart years earlier. At Magdalena's mansion Maria is in awe of her twin's wealthy lifestyle and her long pent-up bitterness comes out. She plots to kill her sister and take her place, but soon realizes she must also assume Magdalena's lies and deceptions.
