Rudy Bronson (Rudy Vallee) is an aspiring singer with dreams of making it big. After being rejected by his idol bandleader Ted Grant, Rudy and his band sneak into his home to give a surprise audition. When suspected by the neighbors as being burglars, they pose as Ted Grant and his orchestra. They accept the neighbor's invitation to play a charity concert and a zany tale of impersonation ensues!
