The celebrate the 30th anniversary of his first stage appearance in 1961, Pavarotti invited many of today's leading operatic stars to the Teatro Valli in Reggio Emilia. This gala concert proved one of the most distinguished and memorable of its kind. Included are arias by Puccini, Mozart, Donizetti, Bizet, and Verdi. Stars include June Anderson, Piero Cappuccilli, Paolo Coni, Enzo Dara, Giovanni Furlanetto, Raina Kabaivanska, Patrizia Pace, Giuseppe Sabbatini, and Shirley Verrett. The DVD is presented in LPCM Stereo and DTS 5.1 Surround Sound. Leone Magiera and Maurizio Benini conduct.
