Roosevelt Sykes and Big Bill Broonzy were major figures on the blues scene from the time they began recording in the late 1920s, and they continued to record prolifically until the end of their lives. Roosevelt Sykes charm, versatility and powerful blues style is readily evident in a studio set filmed in 1961. Big Bill is captured in performance at a smoke filled bistro in 1956, and then playing on a front porch shortly before his death in 1957.
