This 60 minute 1962 black & white video provides a fascina ting look at his skills as an interpreter of his own music. It is a document of the legendary artistic collaboration b etween Britten & his longtime companion Pears, the tenor fo r whom most of his vocal music was written. It features the Nocturne for Tenor, Seven Obligato Instruments & Strings, Opus 60 to texts by various English poets, with Pears & the CBC Vancouver Chamber Orchestra. It was produced by the CB C, Vancouver.
