On August 12, 1999, Shakira filmed her MTV Unplugged in New York City at the Grand Ballroom of the Manhattan Center Studios. The Colombian singer-songwriter was accompanied by an outstanding band of musicians who supported her performance of new and exciting arrangements; from the Arabic version of ""Ojos Asi"" to the chords of her popular version of ""Ciega, Sordomuda"" where she was joined by a whole mariachi, in pure Mexican style.
