Movie: SENSE AND SENSIBILITY DVD

This classic BBC adaptation stars Sheila Ballantine, Joanna David, Michael Aldridge, and Patricia Routledge. Marianne and Elinor Dashwood find themselves in a perilous position when their father passes away, leaving them, their mother and younger sister destitute and forced to find a new home. Marianne Dashwood soon falls in love with the handsome Willoughby, who literally sweeps her off her feet. But Willoughby harbors a few secrets. Meanwhile Elinor nurses a private passion for Edward Ferrars and struggles with hope and disappointment on her own. Will the sisters learn that sense must mix with sensibility if they are to find happiness with the ones they love?
