Suspiria Franklyn and Corrine Dumas have the kind of trillingly strident yet spunky vocals common to many early British punk singers, and it's easy to imagine them opening for, say, X-Ray Spex. In common with many punk records, alas, it's not always easy to suss out the lyrics, though the delivery manages to combine fun and anger. The femme-sung fuzzy guitar punk of the first four tracks gives way to more dissonant, grinding post-punk on 'My Body-The Pistol' and wispy, ambient post-punk sounds with faint vocals on 'Parish Priest.'
