World-renowned acoustic and electric bassist/composer John Patitucci is one of the most influential jazz musicians of his generation. In 1997, John served as Master of Ceremonies at the inaugural Bass Day celebration, a festival that brought together the worlds greatest bassists. In this hour-long DVD, John performs a Coltrane tune and 5 of his original compositions on both acoustic bass and 6-string electric bass. Following the performance, John hosts a candid Q&A session on all topics from his own personal bass setup to composing.
