Two Cossacks, the handsome, muscular, charismatic Jakub (Adrien Jolivet) and his fragile younger brother Vladimir (Grgoire Leprince-Ringuet), are swimming in a river one day, when the clever and powerful Roman (Grgoire Colin) and his nimble, little brother Elias (Franois-Ren Dupont) sneak up and steal their horses.
