David Montalvo is a successful Acapulco businessman and his father's only heir. This has aroused the envy of his half-brother, Marcelo de Maris. Assuming David's identity, Marcelo marries Lorena, a beautiful woman from Zihuatanejo, and arranges for David to die in a helicopter crash, after which Lorena will inherit his fortune.
