Protagonist Gabriel Martinez (Rodrigo Seplveda) is a journalist obsessed with finding the truth about the death of a colleague and friend Anbal Neira (Gilberto Villarroel) who was brutally murdered while researching a news article on American painter Richard Upton Pickman (Renzo Oviedo) who's disturbing work recreates the mythological monsters of Chilean folklore and other aberrant creatures. Other films include Geoffrey Clark's animated 'In the Vault', Austinite Cathy Welch's 'Pickman's Model', and Giovanni Furore's Italian 'Pickman's Model'. Plus Djie Han Thung's 'Between the Stars' based on a story fragment by H.P. Lovecraft.
