Renata Montiel is a beautiful woman who has orphaned as a child and sold by her impoverished relatives to the chief of their guajiro tribe. Years later, her wealthy father returns to reclaim her and sends her abroad to be educated. When Renata returns home, she is despised by her beloved guajiros because her father has sold many of them into slavery. Now Renata must do everything possible to stop the injustices of her father and win back the affection of her people.
