Lencho, an immigrant laborer, tries to help his friend, Roberto, whose wife suffers from a disease that prevents her from walking or speaking, and whose daughter, Pepita, doesn't have a dress for her first communion. Nevertheless the family has not lost hope, and Roberto sets out to raise the money, even though it could cost him his life! This touching story examines the suffering of immigrant laborers living far from home and family. Adalbreto Martinez 'Resortes,' Pedro Infante Jr., Delia Magana, Mariaq Rebeca, Gladis Benz, and Sergio Goyri star in this film directed by Ruben Galindo.
