In this documentary, we follow the founder of Musique concrete as he brandishes his boom on which 2 microphones are mounted in search of a sound in the Coulee Verte in Paris. As the journey unfolds, we are brought 40 years back to Bordeaux where people are leaving the Concert couche (lying down concert) with reactions from the audience. Extras include a 2003 concert and rehearsal footage of a 1953 work by Pierre Henry in La Cite de la Musique, Paris, and film by Gerald Belkin, Le Candidat.
