This series explores the Mexican culture of Jaripeos (rodeos). This volume features the final competition that took place in Morelia Michoacan, Mexico in the popular plaza El Relicario. The formal competition consists of 9 suertes: cala - reining competition displaying horse control; piales en el lienzo - roping a running horse by the hind legs while on horseback; colas - bull tailing; jinete de novillos - bull riding; jinete de yeguas - wild mare riding; terna - team bull roping; manganas a pie - roping front legs of a horse while on foot; and paso de muerte - jumping from a bareback running horse to a running wild mare.
