This new DVD, released to commemorate the 30th anniversary of her death, combines the very best of her performances in the 'on stage' part, along with documentary footage which gives an insight into her glamorous but tragic life (news clips and photos, plus insights from close colleagues and companions such as Carlo Maria Giulini, Robert Sutherland, Franco Zeffirelli, and Giuseppe di Stefano). Callas's own perspective on her life and art also comes through in interview footage from TV programs filmed in the 1960s. Also included is material never previously available on DVD.
