Ten year-old Melanie has a special gift for the piano. But during her entrance recital for the Conservatory, she is distracted by the thoughtless behavior of Ariane, a well-known concert pianist. Melanie fails the exam and decides to give up the piano forever Ten years later, she gains an intern position in a law firm whose senior partner is Arianes husband. He is impressed by her hard work, and when he finds himself in need of an au pair at his estate, Melanie offers her services and soon begins to insinuate herself into the familyto exact revenge!
