Freak Show created a marvelous cast of quirky freaks, each with their own all-too human failings and haunting theme songs worming their way into the listener's brain. Feeling their ideas had more life, The Residents met with comic artists Brian Bolland and Edwin ""Savage Pencil"" Pouncey and crafted the idea of a Freak Show graphic novel, which was released by Dark Horse comics a year later. This reissue contains a special 32-page book in hardcover packaging, CD, and DVD with remnants of the never-finished Freak Show DVD, with some of deceased collaborator Jim Ludtke's best but sadly incomplete work.
